With Singapore set to become “super-aged” in 2026, one in four citizens will be aged 65 and above in 2030. As the elderly population grows, more seniors face social isolation and loneliness which is detrimental to their physical and mental well-being.
Based on the principle that people are the most important priority in planning public spaces, “kinship in the city” proposes an integrated housing development situated at Dakota Crescent that enhances the visibility of elderly in the community.
