Encouraging interaction among the elderly community through eating. •

Cooking Up Connections' is designed to encourage interaction through a simple dining activity. Located in one of the older estates in Singapore, Beo Crescent Market and Food Center, it is remodeled to cater to the elderly community. The issue of loneliness among the elderly community in Singapore drives this project, alongside the focus of utilizing the existing environmental factors of the site. The approach starts with redesigning the hawker stalls to encourage more interactions among users.

Meet Nada, an interior designer whose approach revolves around interrelationships. She believes imagination and creativity has no bounds when it comes to creating and/or manipulating space. Both a communicator and a listener, she constantly keeps an open mind to let herself grow to be a better individual and designer.
